Northside Deli & Gourmet Catering

Brothers Ramzi, Robert and Ricky Kaywood have been entrepreneurs since the early 90’s and entered the food business in 1996.

In 2011, they took ownership of Northside Gourmet and Deli Caterers in the quaint little town of Northport. Coming up on their 11-year anniversary, the three brothers have learned the ins and outs of running a successful deli and catering business. With the dream of owning a chain of stores where they could service thousands of customers a day, they took ownership of two more delis: Dick’s Deli of Commack and Parkville Plaza Deli in Sayville.

They finished a complete interior renovation on Northside Deli in April of 2019, giving it a fresh new look and making it more inviting for customers. They also brought life back into Dick’s Deli upon purchasing in January 2020. Unfortunately, after a bad storm in October of 2019, the Parkville Plaza Deli experienced an electrical fire which destroyed most of the store. Luckily, nobody got hurt, but the deli has been under rebuild - with high hopes to open up again soon.

From one deli to the next, each offers a full menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner with all cooking done on premises. They have chopped salads, soups, gourmet paninis and wraps, hot food at their steam table daily and much more. They also specialize in all forms of catering, and service just about all of Long Island (offering delivery too). From their hot and cold appetizers, gourmet party heros and platters, to their chef’s creations (A’ La Carte), cold salads and pasta possibilities, their catering menu encompasses it all. As per Ramzi, “There is nothing we cannot do.”

For the three Kaywood brothers, their philosophy has always been to provide great food at a fast service and reasonable price. Following that note, their customers are continuously happy with their experience and that’s one of the many reasons they come back. “It’s pretty frequent we know our customer’s orders without even having to ask, because they remain loyal to us and we remain consistent,” says Ramzi. The brothers also like to stay connected and get involved with the community as often as they can. With children of their own, they donate frequently to the local schools and sports teams, as well as to the churches.

With over fifty years of combined experience, it certainly shows for the owners of Northside Deli, Dick’s and Parkville Plaza. At each deli, they make ordering effortless through Doordash, Grubhub UberEats, their website or by phone. And, they even do last minute, same day orders so you never have to worry about not getting it in time!
