Spring is a time for renewal and cleansing. Exposure to toxins over time can adversely affect your health. This spring rid yourself of toxins and focus on the renewal of your health.

Rid your life of toxins…

…in your house
Choose plant-based cleansers which kill 99.99% of bacteria. They create better air quality and do not contain phosphates, triclosan, coal tar dyes, ammonia, DEA, dioxane and chlorine.  Secondly, avoid dry cleaners who use PERC and other possible cancer causing chemicals.

…in your personal care regimen
Our skin is our largest organ, what we put on it counts. Choose natural and organic beauty products which don’t contain parabens, fake perfumes, dyes and harsh preservatives. Check out www.EWG.org for brands and ratings. Next, choose fluoride free toothpaste products and add a filter to your water which will drastically reduce your fluoride intake.

…in your diet
Avoid BHT, high fructose corn syrup, artificial dyes, sweeteners and flavorings in cereals, cakes, cookies, crackers, yogurts and other foods. Reducing processed food in general will help alleviate inflammation in your body and balance blood sugar, which will result in weight loss and overall health. Replace with wholesome foods like organic popcorn, apples, peanut butter, yogurt and other natural snacks. Support NON-GMO farming and products. Look up the DARK (Deny Americans the Right to Know) ACT and get informed.

…in your yard
Avoid lawn fertilizers and insect killers containing toxins which expose adults, kids and pets to known carcinogens. Nitrogen from fertilizers, sewage plants and septic systems are contaminating our water supply. Find out more at www.longislandcleanwaterpartnership.org. These chemicals are also killing off our bee population. We need bees!

…in your life
Avoid toxic people and situations. Stay positive. Meditate, do yoga, practice positive thoughts and exercise to increase endorphins for health and wellbeing. Get involved in changing the world for the better, which includes empowering the right politicians and supporting companies who serve the greater good. When we are kind to each other and to the planet that is the best way to live a clean life and be whole.
