Love doesn’t have an expiration date, and Debbie Siebers is living proof. On my podcast, Secrets of Powerful Women, Debbie- celebrity fitness guru and familiar face from this past season of ABC’s The Golden Bachelor – shared a truth that so many women need to hear: you are allowed to want love at any age, and you are allowed to go after it boldly.

Debbie didn’t join the show to chase attention. She’s been “influencing” women for over 26 years since the year 2000, when her fitness program Slim in Six on Beach Body became a nationwide success and helped countless people feel strong in their bodies again. At 65, she’s still disciplined, still moving, still evolving – and still open to love. And that’s the point: confidence isn’t just how you look. It’s how willing you are to keep showing up for the life you want.

When Debbie decided to step onto the biggest matchmaking platform on the planet, it wasn’t because she needed validation. It was because she told me she’s a risk taker. An adventurer. A woman who recognized her world had gotten too small and she wanted to expand it. She said it honestly and simply; she was tired of being alone, tired of waking up alone, tired of spending holidays alone. That raw honesty matters, because so many women quietly carry the same longing and feel ashamed for it. Feel ashamed for being single. Well, you don’t need to be ashamed because wanting companionship is human.

Debbie’s story also holds deeper courage which she talked about both on the show and my podcast. She opened up about profound loss-suddenly losing a partner traumatically – and the long, real road back to healing. She even moved across states to start again. She did the work. She rebuilt her life. And eventually, she made a decision many women never make: she chose to be visible again, vulnerable again, hopeful again. Her relationship standards are refreshingly grounded. Borrowing a phrase from one of her co-contestants, She says she isn’t chasing “fireworks.” She’s looking for the “fireplace”-calm, steady love. Mutual respect. Communication that flows both ways. Laughter, kindness, sincerity. Chemistry, yes, but also peace. A partner who is interested, not just interesting. Someone to travel with, share the everyday moments with, and feel excited to come home to.

If you’re still waiting for love, let Debbie’s message land: don’t give up. Take her advice: Expand your circle. Try something new. Join a group. Take the trip. Say yes to the invitation. Your next chapter can start today- because love is love, at any age. You’re not too old, It’s not too late. Let this be the sign you’ve been waiting for.
