Chef and Owner Catalina Criollo with partner and husband Eduardo are earning high marks by the locals and surrounding community. After working in the restaurant industry for 20 years, Catalina was ready to turn her dream into a reality. Alma Cocina prides itself for using only the freshest of ingredients, many of which have been imported from Mexico. Chef Catalina explains, “everything we prepare is scratch made, nothing frozen or laying around in the fridge” From perfectly seasoned tacos and hand-crafted salsas to rich, slowly braised meats, each dish honors Mexico’s culinary heritage with a refined, modern touch. Chef Catalina continues, “I feel it’s important, as the chef to interact with our customers. As I walk through the dining room I get to know who my customers are and what they like. It’s all part of the dining experience we look to create that keeps our customers engaged.” Apparently Chef Catalina’s strategy is working. In just three short months Alma Cocina has had over 100 Five Star Google reviews!
