From the moment you walk through the door, Harleys American Grille combines a polished, contemporary setting with the kind of warm, energetic atmosphere that makes you want to settle in, relax, and stay awhile. Their sister restaurant Harley’s Steakhouse is more of a formal Manhattan feel with a greater focus on the American Classic steak fare.

 The ambiance in Huntington is stylish without being pretentious, with a socially driven bar and dining room that come alive as the evening progresses. On certain nights live music and entertainment add to the experience, creating the feeling that dinner is only part of the night.

 Appetizers like their Ribeye egg rolls, Bang Bang Shrimp, Tuna Nachos and many other alluring choices can be best described as social bar driven food designed for sharing. There is a steakhouse influence, but Harleys American Grille delivers a more chilled laid-back experience. Entrees like their Braised Short Ribs, Chicken Milanese or Spicy Vodka Pasta are delivered as old-world classics with a contemporary twist.

 During our latest visit to Harleys American Grille, we went all in on some popular choices that came recommended by our server.

Appetizers

BANG BANG SHRIMP: This dish makes an immediate impression, pairing delicately crisp tempura jumbo shrimp with a creamy chili-garlic aioli that brings a subtle but satisfying kick. Tender shrimp with golden crunch with a sauce that adds layers of heat and savory richness make this app lively and addictive.

RIBEYE EGG ROLLS: Tender, savory ribeye is tucked inside a crisp, golden egg roll shell alongside sweet, caramelized onions and a flavorful blend of melted cheeses. The contrast of the crunch of the exterior gives way to a rich, satisfying center to make it a must try. The horseradish cream sauce is cool and creates a tangy bite that cuts through the richness of the beef and cheese, adding just enough kick for the perfect balance. Great for sharing around the table.

Every slice delivers that perfect contrast between a caramelized, savory crust and a succulent, buttery interior that needs little embellishment to make an impression.

CHICKEN MILANESE: Crisp golden crust gives way to tender chicken, creating a contrast that makes this dish so appealing. Draped over the cutlet is a lively salad of peppery baby arugula, sweet grape tomatoes, and delicate red onion, complemented by creamy fresh mozzarella and a subtle note of fennel. The aged balsamic is the finisher, adding a mellow sweetness and acidity that ties the flavors together.

LOBSTER PASTA: Bucatini tossed with sweet, blistered tomatoes with pieces of lobster in a velvety cognac cream sauce. The toasted lemon breadcrumb adds a bright citrus note and just the right amount of crunch, bringing richness and freshness together in every bite.
