It seems that Burger joints are cropping up everywhere, most of which are of the franchise or chain variety. To say the least, they all make the rave of being mouth-watering and delicious.
Unfortunately the hype never seems to match reality. So then, where do we go to get the real deal, when the first bite transcends you to that eye closing experience and say uuumm! By combing short rib, brisket and chuck ground fresh daily, you know that you’re are going to get a quality burger.
Though Liberty is the namesake, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that their menu boasts succulent fried chicken, crispy and golden brown served by the piece or bucket as well. Top off your meal with one of their Specialty Shakes, like the “Coney Island”; A salted caramel and pretzel shake made with vanilla ice cream, salted caramel syrup, crushed pretzels, finished with whipped cream, caramel drizzle and sea salt. Wow!!!!
The 4th venture of the DeNicola Brothers Concepts, now joins the ranks of Ruvo (Greenlawn and Port Jefferson), La Tavola (Sayville) and Del Fuego (St. James, Babylon and Patchogue) as an integral part of the restaurant family. Located at 429 N. Country Rd. in St. James, NY, Liberty took the place of the original Del Fuego after Del Fuego relocated to a larger location in December of 2016. Expanding into the adjacent space, Liberty doubled in size from the original Del Fuego. After 7 months of renovation, and a highly anticipated opening, Opening its doors this past July, you’ll find industrial type cement floors with metal booths, a sleek granite bar top, retro styled light fixtures, and an entire wall devoted to an eclectic collection clocks (all set to 5 o'clock, because it’s 5 o'clock somewhere, right?)  This concept was designed by owner Joe DeNicola, owner who got his inspiration from his late father, James DeNicola Sr.’s art work. You can find James DeNicola’s art work hung up on the large floor to ceiling wall space inside Liberty. One of the more prominent pieces displayed, titled Ms. America is how the name Liberty was inspired.
